Bill Jefferson Wood Artist
Building has been a passion for me most of my life, from forts as a child to houses as an adult. After retiring to Blue Ridge in 1995, I was able to spend more time working with wood and attended a class in Windsor chairs at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina. While working with the lathe, making legs for the chairs I was building, I became interested in woodturning. Since then I have taken classes with Cliff Lounsbury, David Nittman, and Lissie Oland. In addition, attending many of the regional woodturning symposiums has been invaluable in learning the art of woodturning.
